The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Experienced Estimator to join the team in Kent WA. This Phantom Works based position offers relocation and a referral bonus based on eligibility. As an Experienced Estimator you will be responsible for the development of estimates (labor material Other Direct Costs (ODC)) and cost/price proposals for new business activities. This assignment may support multiple Phantom Works division teams and a variety of internal and external customers. Phantom Works is a sophisticated research and development organization responsible for engaging customers through ground breaking visual modeling and simulation innovating cross-cutting concepts and technologies prototyping solutions to extend current products and win new programs and developing new businesses and entering new markets. Position Responsibilities Participate in evaluation of requests for proposal Develop basis of estimates to support proposal and technical requirements Perform analyses in support of pricing and estimating (risk financial competitive etc.) Coordinate and collaborate with proposal teams and cost element functional owners to develop appropriate basis of estimate and substantiation of cost estimates proposals and other related business decision data Identify assess and implement changes to processes tools and techniques to simplify estimating and pricing methodologies and improve cost estimating accuracy This position is expected to 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active). Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience) Bachelor's Degree or higher 3+ years of experience in a business-related function (including but not limited to: Finance Contracts Estimating Procurement Financial Analysis Business Operations Supplier Management Marketing & Sales) Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience) Active TS/SCI Security Clearance Understanding of proposal process & experience using data analysis to drive decision making Experience with critical thinking problem solving negotiation communication and interpersonal skills Experience working in multifaceted and diverse teams across multiple functions Master's Degree in Accounting Finance Business or a related field Typical Education & Experience Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience 10 years' related work experience etc.). Relocation This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
