At Altais, we support one another, adapt quickly, and work with integrity as we build a better experience for physicians and their patients.Under general supervision, the Appointment Scheduler role is primarily responsible for scheduling and confirming appointments. This role works closely with the administrative, clinical and management teams to support patient care efforts.This role provides support to clinical functions as the administrative support and the position includes, and not limited to: scheduling appointments, rescheduling, and cancelling appointments, assisting with Nurse Practitioner requests in a group chat setting, in-baskets scheduling requests, creating CRMs to document each call, updating members insurance and registration, phone call reminders, and assisting with special projects as needed.You Will Focus On:Registers patients for their appointment; confirms and/or updates insurance coverage and patient demographic informationSupports incoming calls and other correspondences, including scheduling and confirming appointments, triaging calls for clinical team, supports incoming calls and other correspondences.Conduct outbound cold calls to prospective patients to schedule clinical assessment appointments.Handle objections or questions from patients and use problem-solving skills to overcome challenges in scheduling.Track and report scheduling metrics, such as appointment rates and conversion of calls to booked appointments.Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other relevant regulations when handling patient information and scheduling appointments.The Skills, Experience & Education You BringHigh School graduate or equivalent.3-5 years of experience in health care in the following areas: patient scheduling, insurance verification, medical record data abstraction, or patient financial services.Bilingual in Tagalog, Ilocano, Japanese, Spanish, or Olelo (Hawaiian)The Hourly Base Salary for this position is $17.00-22.00/hour.In addition, we provide a competitive compensation package that recognizes your experience, credentials, and education alongside a robust benefits program to meet your needs.Excellent medical, vision, and dental coverage401k savings plan with a company match15 days Paid Time Off and 9 Paid HolidaysYou Share Our Mission & Values:CompassionWe act with empathy and a deep respect for the challenges faced by physicians and their patients.
