About the Role
The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President of Enterprise Business Development to join their global team. The successful candidate will be a key partner in the company's M&A activities, with a focus on maintaining a robust M&A pipeline and advancing inorganic growth strategies. This role requires a strategic thinker with in-depth domain knowledge, strong business acumen, and established industry contacts. The AVP will be responsible for coordinating the enterprise-wide M&A funnel, setting standards for M&A investment thesis development, and managing regular M&A pipeline meetings with the CEO. They will also be involved in target cultivation, investment thesis development, and cross-functional alignment, acting as a leader in advising and aligning various business and strategy teams on inorganic opportunities. Applicants for the AVP position should have an MBA or a technical degree relevant to life sciences, with at least 10 years' of experience in M&A business development, corporate development, business consulting, or related roles. The role demands a proven track record in creating and executing multi-year strategic plans, expertise in forming inorganic growth strategies, and the ability to engage and influence senior executives. The ideal candidate will have a relevant understanding of the business's platforms, technologies, and market dynamics, and be adept at identifying, negotiating, and closing business development and strategic collaboration opportunities.
