Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to efficiently run the shear and rebar bender. This role involves interpreting drawings to compile a list of bar sizes and programming them into the machine. The process is straightforward, requiring basic math skills. This position is fast-paced, and you will work alongside our other operator in one area of the plant.

Responsibilities

• Operate and manage the shear and rebar bender machines.
• Interpret technical drawings to determine necessary bar sizes.
• Program bar sizes into the machine with accuracy.
• Collaborate with other operators to ensure smooth operation in the assigned area of the plant.

Essential Skills

• Familiarity with DXF files and G-code.
• Proficiency in converting decimals to fractions and vice versa.
• Advanced PC skills.
• Experience with vector/wireframe CNC programming software, preferably VCarve Pro.
• Self-motivation and ability to work independently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with CNC machine operation and programming.
• Proficiency in CAD software, including AutoCAD.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Experience with hand tools and general machine operation.

Work Environment

The position is based in a manufacturing environment where you may be exposed to outside conditions. Expect to get hands-on and dirty. Safety gear, including steel-toed boots above the ankle and a hard hat, is required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hanover, PA.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Hanover,PA.
