Registered Nurse - Hospice

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide compassionate end-of-life care to hospice patients in a skilled and supportive environment. Deliver comprehensive physical, emotional, social, and spiritual support to patients and their families, ensuring comfort and dignity during challenging times.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans focused on symptom management and comfort.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately, adhering to best practices.
• Educate patients and caregivers on care goals, symptom control, and disease progression.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver holistic care.
• Document patient status and interventions meticulously in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Respond promptly to emergent patient needs, including on-call responsibilities twice a month.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with current licensure in applicable state.
• Proven clinical expertise in hospice or palliative care settings.
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication skills to educate and support patients and families.
• Ability to work independently and within a team-oriented environment.
• Compassionate demeanor with a passion for end-of-life care.
