Managing a high-value portfolio of leadership, campaign, and legacy donors, this individual contributor focuses on the full lifecycle of philanthropy—cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship—for gifts of $25,000 and above. Working closely with the Assistant Head of School for Advancement, this role plays a pivotal part in funding strategic institutional priorities, capital campaigns, and growing a sustainable planned giving program. Key Responsibilities Qualify, cultivate, and manage a portfolio of leadership and legacy prospects across all major school constituencies (parents, alumni, grandparents, and friends). Develop and execute data-driven strategies to secure five- and six-figure commitments, successfully navigating both current operational/capital needs and deferred/planned giving options (e.g., bequests, beneficiary designations). Promote and grow membership in the School’s legacy society, ensuring planned giving donors remain deeply engaged with the institution's long-term future. Partner with the Head of School, School leadership, and key volunteers to orchestrate strategic, donor-centric solicitations as part of campaign and appeal strategies. Administration & Event Integration Systematically track all donor interactions, contact reports, legacy notifications, and pipeline stages within the advancement database. Leverage campus activities and major advancement events to deepen prospect relationships and transition donors into higher giving tiers. Actively collaborate with the Advancement Team and participate in strategy meetings, contributing to a collaborative, high-performing advancement culture, and provide event day support as needed. Liaise with other departments schoolwide and with the wider Tampa Bay community as needed. Requirements Bachelor’s degree required, combined with 3–5+ years of professional fundraising success (ideally within an educational or non-profit environment). Documented success in personally closing relationship-based fundraising cycles. High level of proficiency with and/or willingness to learn fundraising databases (e.g., Raiser’s Edge/NXT) alongside standard office software and productivity tools. Exceptional active listening and communication skills; able to connect authentically with diverse stakeholders and navigate sensitive philanthropic conversations with skill. An energetic, positive self-starter who uses data and metrics to segment portfolios, prioritize high-value actions, and manage projects independently. Utmost professional ethics, maintaining strict confidentiality regarding donor data, financials, and estate planning details.
