Electrician

The job of an Electrician is for the purpose of providing electrical services with specific responsibility for identifying repair and/or replacement needs; installing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading systems and equipment; assisting other skilled trades; and ensuring that tools and materials are available at jobsite. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, additional classes, certificates, or degrees associated with electrical work. Must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to be successful in electrical work. Must possess a driver’s license to get to various sites within the district. This position is responsible for assignments throughout Orangeburg County School District. Must be able to multi-task and adapt to changing work priorities. Assignments may take place outdoors as well as indoors. This employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and communicate with others. This employee may be asked to lift heavy equipment up to 100 lbs.
