Biology Research Assistant

USNH Employees should apply within Workday through the Jobs Hub app. This is a grant‑funded position designed to help carry out the goals of funded grant research such as Fish and Wildlife Service and INBRE grants. Responsibilities Coordinate research with faculty research mentor (10%) Perform laboratory and/or field research (30%) Collect, organize, and analyze data (20%) Write up results for publication or presentation (10%) Maintain a clean and safe lab environment and keep track of lab supplies; inform faculty mentor of needs Qualifications BA or BS in a relevant scientific field Facility with Excel, statistical packages, PowerPoint, and Photoshop Knowledge of the scientific background of the grants Applicants should be broadly familiar with laboratory skills including field research, immunohistochemistry, electrophysiology, and video‑tracking software. Personnel would not be required to work during curtailment. Compensation: $15.00 hourly. The position is supported by external sponsor funding; continued employment is contingent upon availability of those funds. If funding is reduced or discontinued, employment may be modified or terminated in accordance with applicable policies and procedures.
