Ultrasound Technologist Responsibilities: Prepare patients for ultrasound examinations, addressing their concerns and inquiries. Ensure precise alignment and exposure by positioning patients and equipment appropriately. Operate ultrasound equipment proficiently to produce high-quality images, adjusting settings for optimal results. Monitor patient well-being throughout procedures to ensure safety and comfort. Review and process images to maintain quality standards. Collaborate with physicians and medical staff to adhere to diagnostic protocols Ultrasound Technologist Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent required. College coursework guided towards ARDMS Board certification hands-on clinical ultrasound experience in a hospital setting preferred. American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography ARDMS Board certification required. ARRT (R) and Vermont State Radiologic Technician license is a plus. Current health care provider BLS certification within 90 days of hire required. note: there are call requirements with this position.
