Key AccountabilitiesProvide manufacturing engineering support on supplied parts, in house manufactured parts, design requirements, manufacturing process, and finished partsSupport and create manufacturing plans from design specifications to meet quality requirements. Ensure plans are audit readyDevelop programs/methods to optimize producibility, reduce cycle time, manufacturing losses & overall shop costTrack manufacturing discrepancy performance and provide input on process improvements, create counter measures, controls and work instructionsQualifications, Experience, and SkillsMinimum Educational QualificationsBachelor’s degree engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent work experienceMinimum ExperienceMinimum of 3 years manufacturing experienceOther Job-Specific SkillsAbility to interpret drawings and able to understand refer to and interpret Geometric, Dimensioning and Tolerancing.Engineering experience in gas turbine engine parts and assemblies or similar manufacturing setting.Experience with lean manufacturing initiatives such as TQM, Kaizen, and Six Sigma.Computer skills Microsoft Suite to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etcExperience with CAD/CAM softwareWorking ConditionsClimate-controlled office environment.The performance of this position will require exposure to the manufacturing areas that require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shield, hearing protection and safety shoesAbility to handle parts weighing up to 30 lbs.
