Machine Specialties, Inc. (MSI) is a leading provider of precision-machined components, special processing, and complex assemblies for the aerospace industry. We are seeking a motivated Manufacturing Engineer to join our growing Engineering team.This is a full-time, exempt position reporting directly to the Engineering Manager. The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex manufacturing challenges, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and developing innovative processes that support world-class aerospace manufacturing. Job Description:The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing and optimizing manufacturing processes for precision aerospace components. This role works closely with customers, machinists, programmers, quality personnel, and suppliers to ensure manufacturable, efficient, and cost-effective production plans while maintaining the highest quality standards. Develop manufacturing plans from customer engineering drawings, models, and technical data packages.Optimize existing manufacturing methods to improve quality, efficiency, and throughput.Evaluate tooling, fixturing, machining strategies, and manufacturing processes.Collaborate with customers and suppliers to resolve technical and manufacturing challenges.Support production by troubleshooting machining and process-related issues.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, and cost reduction.Assist with new product introduction and process development. Position Specific Expectations:Demonstrate initiative and a strong desire to continuously learn and grow.Take ownership of assigned projects and deliver high-quality results.Share knowledge and collaborate effectively across departments.Be a positive, team-oriented contributor.Lead through professionalism, accountability, and integrity.Apply critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills.Communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.Maintain a professional attitude in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Ability to work a typical 45–50 hour work week when business demands require. Required Training/Education/Experience:Bachelor 's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering discipline.Minimum 2 years of experience in precision machining or manufacturing engineering.Familiarity with CAD software (Creo).Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.Experience interpreting engineering specifications and developing manufacturing work instructions.Knowledge of aerospace special processes such as Chrome Plating, Cadmium Plating, Shot Peening, Anodizing, and Painting.Ability to prioritize multiple projects while meeting deadlines.Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications:Aerospace manufacturing experience.Experience with CNC machining processes and manufacturing methods.Familiarity with AS9100 quality systems.Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience.ERP experience (Epicor experience is a plus). If you are passionate about manufacturing, enjoy solving complex engineering problems, and want to help build some of the industry's most challenging aerospace components, we'd love to hear from you.If you meet these requirements and are interested in applying, please submit an updated copy of your resume to the email address View email address on ziprecruiter.com Opportunity Employer including Veterans/Disabilities
