PeriOperative Services Registered Nurse

Job Description

The PeriOperative Services Registered Nurse is responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients of all age groups, from pediatric to geriatric, during the peri-operative period, from admission through discharge. This position entails assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient care, ensuring that the needs of the patients are met throughout their surgical experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care throughout the surgical process.
• Advocate for and provide support to patients and their families during the peri-operative period.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor and manage patient conditions throughout their time in PeriOperative Services.

Schedule

This position includes a schedule of 40 hours per week with call responsibilities every third night and every third weekend.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license.
• Experience in ortho, general surgery, GYN, and endoscopy.
• Demonstrated ability to provide high-quality nursing care to diverse patient populations.
