Summary/Objective: Harper General Contractors is a commercial construction company serving the southeast with offices across North and South Carolina. The IT Support Specialist will setup, configure and troubleshoot end-user technology including network, software, hardware, and operating systems. Duties will be performed in both office environments and construction jobsites. This is an in-office position (not remote).

Essential Functions:

• Assist office staff and field users with software and hardware problem resolution.
• Monitor helpdesk and take appropriate action to ensure a satisfactory response within specified time frames.
• Document time spent and resolution details in ticketing system.
• Machine imaging using MDT/WDS/Intune.
• Windows Active Directory user account creation and management.
• Issue/replace hardware and software as needed.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high customer service standards.
• Stay up to date with current trends and be prepared to make recommendations.

  Competencies:

• A strong working knowledge of computer systems, hardware, and software.
• Good problem-solving, analytical, and team-working skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Windows 10, Office 365, Apple iOS, Networking.
• Active Directory account management. 

Credentials and Experience:

• Associate degree or equivalent experience.
• Certifications desired.
• Two to three years’ experience in a support capacity in a user-oriented environment.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None.

Work Environment: In office position (not remote). Typical Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM hours. Extended hours when necessary.

While performing the duties of this job on a commercial jobsite, the employee may be exposed to loud noises; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions. Commercial construction sites can be hazardous. Required safety gear and rule adherence mandatory.

Physical Demands: Employee must be able to occasionally lift and/or carry necessary IT equipment up to 50 pounds.

Travel Required: Travel may be required to remote offices and jobsites or other office locations. Valid US driver's license required.
