Senior Manager, Planning & Fulfillment

Overview Rocket Lab is an end-to-end space company delivering responsive launch services, spacecraft design and manufacturing, payloads, satellite components, and more, with the goal of opening access to space. Our Electron rocket has become the second most frequently launched U.S. rocket annually and has delivered more than 230 satellites to orbit. The Space Systems business designs and builds satellites, payloads, and components, including spacecraft selected to support NASA missions and components used on the James Webb Space Telescope. Role location: onsite at Rocket Lab's Middle River, MD facility.

WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO

Manage a team of Material and Production Planners. Create material demand within MRP and manage material supply for Production and R&D. Ensure part master data within MRP is accurate. Create material visibility across the business with line-of-balance reports, material shortage reports, clear-to-build reports, and related tools. Identify part supply constraints that may impact production schedules and develop mitigation plans. Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams to achieve company-wide goals.

YOU\'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS

10+ years of related experience as Material Planner, Production Planner, Buyer, or similar function, with a bachelor\'s degree or equivalent (14+ years total work experience). Proven ability to manage demand planning and supply planning within MRP. Proven ability to create new processes and deploy effective systems. Proficient in MS Office, ERP systems, math, and statistics.

THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE

Proficient in SQL and MRP systems. Experience in aerospace or automotive manufacturing. Experience in a rapid growth environment. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize effectively. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Team-oriented, able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Base Pay Range (MD Only): $130,000 - $175,000 USD All candidates may be eligible for Rocket Lab’s total rewards package, including company benefits.
