Master automotive technicians are expected to be mastersof their trade, with the ability to quickly and efficiently identify problemsand perform routine maintenance on a daily basis. JobResponsibilities Determineand discuss vehicle issues, current work and future needs with customers andservice advisors. Diagnose,maintain and repair automotive systems. Performquality inspections, including test drives, of vehicles prior to returning themto customers. Communicatedirectly with service advisors to keep customers informed of any additionalservice needs and provide an estimate for any new repairs. Executerepairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications. Requirements Atour dealership, master technicians are determined and persistent problemsolvers who are expected to maintain a comprehensive understanding of thelatest automotive technologies. Educationand/or Experience Highschool diploma or GED (general equivalency diploma); or 1 to 3 months relatedexperience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education andexperience. Certificates,Licenses, Registrations OperatorDriver License StateInspection License Compensation Compensationis based on experience.
