Pay: $20-25/hour
Schedule: Tuesday through Friday, 8:30AM – 5:30PM
Requirements:
- Minimum 2-3 years of Medical Admin experience
- EMR experience, practice utilizes Epic
Responsibilities:
This position requires but is not limited to a working knowledge of the practice management software Epic, working knowledge of Avaya phone system, understanding of health insurance plan referral and prior authorization requirements, knowledge of accessing online insurance verifications, HIPAA regulations governing release of patient medical information, appointment scheduling, telephone protocol, perform patient AP, assess patient insurance co-pay-deductible-self-pay responsibilities, assigned duties that may arise within the scope of the position.
- Respond to all incoming calls – document and direct accordingly
- Appointment scheduling and/or rescheduling
- Reviewing all registration details, account balances, and deductible/co-insurance issues
- Alert all patient registration and collection issues to onsite billing and main reception
- Actively assist patients with acquiring needed referrals
- Process prior authorizations
- Manage triage calls
- Assist patients with prescription refills and any related issues
- Follow-up calls as requested by providers
- Additional duties as assigned #zip
