Mercyhealth System is currently seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Ophthalmologist to join our collaborative and growing eye care team serving McHenry and Algonquin, Illinois. Opportunity Overview: Salary Range: $425,000 - $500,000 Full-Time Position Flexible scheduling Shared office call (weekly rotation with another Ophthalmologist) EPIC EMR systemwide Strong built-in referral network from Mercyhealth primary care and specialty providers Hospital-based surgical access Advanced in-office laser and minor procedure capabilities 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (PSLF eligible) Departmental Scope: Comprehensive ophthalmology practice including: Cataract surgery Goniotomy procedures Premium lens implants Laser procedures Minor in-office surgical procedures Procedures & Capabilities: Laser YAG Capsulotomy Laser Peripheral Iridotomy (LPI) Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty (SLT) Chalazion removal Lid lesion excision Steroid injections Foreign body removal Punctal plug insertion Equipment Includes: Zeiss OCT Humphrey Visual Field ASCAN Lenstar Corneal Topography Slit lamps Phoropters Comprehensive surgical instrumentation Team Structure: • Ophthalmologist • Optometrist • Practice Manager • Ophthalmic Team Lead • Surgery Scheduler • Technicians • Support staff Admitting Hospital: Mercyhealth Hospital and Medical Center-Crystal Lake A full-service hospital offering advanced surgical suites, comprehensive specialty support, and access to a strong referral network throughout McHenry County and surrounding communities.
