Greater Seacoast Health is looking for a per diem Dental Hygienist to join our Dental Team, providing coverage at our Somersworth and Portsmouth health centers based on scheduling and patient-care needs. You’ll: Provide comprehensive dental hygiene and preventive services Perform dental cleanings, scaling, sealant applications, fluoride treatments, and other services within your scope of practice Assess oral and periodontal health and identify individual patient needs Provide personalized oral-health education and counseling Help patients understand the connection between oral health and their overall health Document assessments, treatment, and patient interactions accurately in the dental record Work closely with dentists and other members of the Dental Team to coordinate patient care Collaborate with professionals across our medical and behavioral health teams when appropriate Maintain safe, clean clinical areas in accordance with OSHA standards and organizational policies Follow infection-control and proper disposal procedures Respond professionally and compassionately to patient questions and concerns Maintain required professional licensure and certifications What You’ll Need Graduate of an accredited Dental Hygiene program Current license to practice Dental Hygiene in the State of New Hampshire Current CPR certification You’ll Be a Great Fit If You… Build trust easily with patients and make them feel comfortable in the dental chair Enjoy educating patients and helping them improve their oral health Communicate clearly and compassionately Are comfortable caring for patients with a wide range of backgrounds and healthcare needs Enjoy being part of a collaborative team Are flexible and comfortable working with the Dental Team between our Somersworth and Portsmouth locations Understand that social, economic, and other barriers can affect a patient's ability to access and maintain oral healthcare Bring a positive, patient-focused approach to your work Position: Dental Hygienist Status: Per Diem, Hourly, Non-Exempt Hours: As needed based on coverage and patient-care needs Schedule: Flexible weekday scheduling; shifts offered based on organizational needs Locations: Somersworth & Portsmouth, New Hampshire This per diem position works collaboratively with our Dental Team and may provide coverage at our Somersworth and Portsmouth health centers based on the team's schedule, staffing needs, and patient-care needs. $41.00–$46.25 per hour , commensurate with experience and licensure. As a per diem Dental Hygienist, you'll have the flexibility to support our Dental Team when coverage is needed while continuing to make a meaningful impact for patients in our community.
