Supply Chain Project Lead

The Fountain Group is a national staffing firm and we are currently seeking a Supply Chain Project Coordinator for a prominent client of ours. This position is in North Chicago, IL 60064. Details for the position are as follows: Project Coordinator (Supply Chain Operations) Location: Lake County, IL (Hybrid) Pay Rate: $38–41/hour Position Summary Our client is seeking a Project Coordinator to support strategic Supply Chain and Operations initiatives across a fast-paced global organization. This individual will coordinate cross-functional projects, manage project timelines and deliverables, monitor budgets and key performance metrics, and partner with business leaders to drive operational excellence. This role is ideal for someone with experience supporting Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, Manufacturing, or Operations projects who enjoys working across multiple teams to keep complex initiatives on track. Key Responsibilities Coordinate multiple Supply Chain and Operations projects from initiation through execution while ensuring milestones, timelines, and deliverables are met. Partner with cross-functional stakeholders including Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing, Finance, Quality, and Operations to support business initiatives. Monitor project plans, budgets, risks, dependencies, and action items while providing regular status updates to leadership. Collect, analyze, and report project metrics, KPIs, and operational data to support business decisions. Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives that optimize business processes and operational efficiency. Coordinate project meetings, document decisions, track action items, and ensure timely follow-up with stakeholders. Maintain project documentation and ensure compliance with organizational processes and standards. Identify project risks, develop mitigation plans, and escalation issues when appropriate. Support onboarding, training, and knowledge sharing across project teams. Build collaborative relationships with internal and external partners to successfully execute strategic initiatives. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. 4+ years of experience in project coordination, project management, supply chain, operations, procurement, or logistics. 2+ years coordinating cross-functional business projects preferred. Experience supporting Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, or Operations organizations. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Experience tracking project budgets, timelines, KPIs, and reporting metrics. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills within a matrixed organization. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Office Suite skills. Experience with SAP (ECC or S/4HANA) or other enterprise ERP systems is strongly preferred . Experience with project management tools such as Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Jira, or similar platforms is a plus.
