Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Travel Cytotechnologist for a temporary assignment at a respected 410-bed community hospital in Glens Falls, New York . In this role, you will perform specialized cytology testing and screening to identify cancerous and other pathological conditions while supporting high-quality patient care in a fast-paced laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Screen gynecologic and non-gynecologic cytology specimens.
• Identify and mark abnormal cellular findings.
• Render preliminary cytologic diagnoses according to laboratory protocols.
• Participate in quality assurance and quality control activities.
• Perform Rapid On-Site Evaluation (ROSE) using a telepathology system.
• Assist with Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) procedures.
• Work collaboratively with pathologists and laboratory staff to ensure accurate and timely results.

Note: Candidates whose permanent residence is in the following New York counties are not eligible for this travel assignment:

Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of Cytotechnology experience
• ASCP Cytotechnologist (CT) Certification required
• Experience with:
  • EBUS procedures
  • EUS procedures
  • Thyroid FNA procedures
• Experience using Epic electronic medical record system
• Active New York State Cytotechnologist License required
