This role is split between daily operational responsibilities that ensure the reliability and performance of our data platform, and project-based initiatives focused on enhancing data models, pipelines, and analytical capabilities.The ideal candidate is highly analytical, comfortable working independently, and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.Responsibilities:Monitor and maintain data warehouse processes to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and availabilityCreate and optimize T-SQL queries and stored procedures supporting daily data loads and transformationsIdentify, troubleshoot, and resolve data issues using structured root cause analysis (RCA)Proactively detect performance issues and recommend optimizationsDocument operational procedures, data flows, and known issuesDesign, develop, and enhance data warehouse objects and data models within Azure SynapsePartner with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutionsContribute to continuous improvement initiatives around data quality, performance, and scalabilityAssist with testing, validation, and deployment of data warehouse changesQualifications:Strong experience with T-SQL, including complex queries, performance tuning, and troubleshootingExperience working with Azure Synapse Analytics or Azure SQL Database with Azure Data Factory.Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to perform effective root cause analysisAbility to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to shifting prioritiesComfortable working independently while also collaborating in a team environmentStrong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholdersNice-to-Have Skills:Experience with Python for data analysis or automationFamiliarity with Power BI, Power BI Report Builder, or similar reporting toolsExposure to Microsoft FabricExperience supporting BI, analytics, or reporting teamsBackground in data quality frameworks or data governance practicesWhat Success Looks Like in This Role:Reliable, accurate, and well-performing daily data warehouse operationsFaster resolution of data issues through clear RCA and documentationWell-designed, scalable data solutions delivered on project timelinesStrong partnerships with analytics, reporting, and business teamsFor US job seekers: Salary Information: $70,000.00-$100,000.00 AnnualPlease contact View email address on click.appcast.io if you are interested in this position.
