As an Assistant Labor Department Supervisor, you will support Labor management in overseeing compliance, staff management, and operational efficiency within the labor department, ensuring labor laws are enforced effectively and services are delivered efficiently.

 

Core Responsibilities

 

 

• Supporting other supervisors in policy implementation, compliance enforcement, and operational decision-making.
• Overseeing staff performance — monitoring employee work quality, providing feedback, and addressing concerns.
• Ensuring compliance with labor laws, regulations, and internal policies; conducting inspections and audits to identify violations or risks.
• Managing daily operations — scheduling staff, coordinating workflows, and maintaining accurate records.
• Assisting in recruitment, training, and onboarding of new employees, including orientation to agency procedures.
• Resolving workplace issues — mediating conflicts, addressing employee grievances, and maintaining a safe, productive environment.
• Preparing reports and documentation — compiling performance data, compliance findings, and operational summaries for senior management.
• Maintaining inventory and resources — ensuring necessary materials, equipment, and supplies are available for operations.

• Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to guide and mentor staff.
• Knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and compliance procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with employees.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
