Dental Assistant Supervisor

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the general supervision of the Dental Director, the Dental Assistant Supervisor works in collaboration with dental and other clinical and administrative leadership to facilitate smooth dental clinical functions in accordance with TRHS policies and protocols. The Dental Assistant Supervisor directly manages a team of dental assistants providing instruction, training, and development of the dental assistant staff, as well as managing the equipment, instrumentation, supplies, and maintenance needs of assigned clinics. Exemplifies TRHS Corporate Culture Standards, has excellent verbal and written communication skills, and demonstrates a sense of optimism, ownership and commitment.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The following minimum qualifications are required for this position. All required education, licensure, certifications, registrations, and other job specific credentials must be obtained and successfully verified prior to the employee's start date

1. Graduate of an approved dental assistant school or comparable training and experience
2. At least 5 years' experience as a Dental Assistant
3. Knowledge and training in general dental assisting duties, as well as endodontic, oral surgery, prosthetic, pediatric dentistry and nitrous oxide sedation dentistry.
4. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

1. Dental Assistant leadership experience in a public health dental clinic or group practice setting.
2. Bilingual in English/Spanish
