CUMNS kids use a play-based project approach curriculum that allows our teachers to design daily lessons and activities based on the interests and the children's abilities in the classroom. Each activity is aligned with the Indiana Early Learning Foundations. We know children learn best in small numbers and commit to keeping class sizes below Indiana State ratios. CUMNS Kids utilizes a team teaching model, providing opportunities for educators to collaborate and support one another.

Education:

Candidates must have a minimum of a high school diploma. The ideal candidate would have a CDA, associate degree in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education, or a Preferred Bachelor in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education, but not required. Candidates who still need to get a minimum of a CDA must be willing to begin coursework within the first year of employment.

Location: 71st and Shadeland Ave., Indianapolis, IN.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Education:

• Associate (Preferred)

Experience:

• Early Childhood Education: 1 year (Preferred)
• Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• CPR Certification (Preferred)
• Minimum of a CDA or four college courses in ECE required (Required)

Work Location: In person

Responsibilities:

• Instruct preschool-aged children in activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth
• Create a fun and safe learning environment
• Develop schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents
• Communicate with parents on students' growth and progress
• Maintain the health and safety of all students

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields
• Passionate about working with children
• Ability to build rapport with children
• Positive and patient demeanor
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
