Senior Accountant

About the Opportunity An established global manufacturing and technology company is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its growing finance team. Key Responsibilities Manage monthly, quarterly, and year‑end close processes including journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations. Manage inventory reserve including reconciliations, adjustments and reporting. Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reporting packages. Support external audit processes by preparing schedules and assisting with audit requests. Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis. Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies. Develop and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. Partner with cross‑functional teams, including operations, to analyze financial data (including inventory). Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions and reporting matters. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA preferred. 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience at the Senior Accountant level. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting. Experience with month‑end close and general ledger accounting. Experience in a public company or supporting publicly traded clients required. Exposure to inventory accounting, including reserves and analysis. Experience working in a global or multi‑currency environment is a plus. Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.). Excellent communication and business partnering skills. Preferred Experience Public accounting background. ERP experience (JDE, Oracle, or similar). Multi‑currency (fx) experience. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
