Phlebotomist I

Phlebotomist I – Portland, OR Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM, with rotational weekends. Proof of COVID‑19 vaccination will be required; exemptions for medical and religious reasons will be considered if a conditional offer of employment is extended. Pay range: $21.80+ per hour. Salary offers are based on skills, training, experience, education, and certifications. Successful candidates may be eligible for an annual performance bonus. Responsibilities Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams. Administer oral solutions as trained. Research and confirm test/client information; verify written and electronic orders using laboratory technology systems, client contact, and approved tools. Navigate a computer and accurately enter data to support the role. Obtain identification, enter billing information, and collect payments when required, following corporate policies. Process specimens, including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and preparing for transport as required by test order. Perform non‑patient facing duties: inventory, stocking supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, and using email as appropriate. Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures. Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data when required. Maintain all phlebotomy logs in a timely manner, including maintenance logs and temperature logs. Complete online and in‑person training courses in a timely fashion. Qualifications Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic training preferred). Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington. Work Experience: One year phlebotomy experience preferred; customer service in a retail or service environment preferred; keyboard/data entry experience.
