Staff RN - Med Surg Trauma, Nights

Job Description Summary Provides general nursing care to patients and families throughout the continuum of care in diverse, acute health care settings. The RN is accountable for the practice of nursing as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing and monitors patient care around the clock (24/7/365). Responsibilities and Duties Assessment/Diagnosis – Performs initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessments as applicable to the population and/or individual (30%). Outcomes Identification/Planning – Documents planned nursing interventions based on nursing diagnoses and collaborative problems to achieve outcomes appropriate to patient needs (30%). Implementation/Evaluation – Evaluates and documents response to nursing interventions, revises plan of care based on evaluative data, and achieves outcomes at determined intervals (20%). Leadership – Actively participates in process improvement activities to achieve clinical quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance targets (10%). Operations – Focuses on safety, quality, and efficiency in performing job duties as part of a High Reliability Organization (10%). Minimum Qualifications Current Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio or a multi-state compact state in good standing. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required at 5 years of employment. Work Schedule Shift: Night. Scheduled Weekly Hours: 36. Department: Trauma Unit 2.
