Advantage Steel Fabrication – Saxonburg, PA Advantage Steel Fabrication is looking for an experienced Fabricator / Fitter to join our team in Saxonburg, PA. This position is responsible for fitting and fabricating structural steel components used in construction and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate has experience working with structural steel, can read fabrication drawings, and takes pride in producing quality work in a safe, team-oriented environment. Position Details Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM Job Type: Full-time Overtime: Available as needed Benefits Include: Medical, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off (PTO) 9 paid company holidays 401(k) with employer match Profit sharing Health Savings Account (HSA) Responsibilities: Fit and fabricate structural steel components according to drawings and specifications Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and fabrication drawings Perform layout, cutting, fitting, and welding tasks Follow Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and quality standards Operate fabrication equipment safely and efficiently Maintain a clean and safe work environment Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in structural steel fabrication preferred Experience in an AISC, AWS, ASME, or API-certified fabrication environment preferred Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and weld symbols Knowledge of structural steel fitting and fabrication processes Experience with welding processes including SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, and GTAW preferred Understanding of Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) Knowledge of AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Code – Steel preferred AWS D1.5 Bridge Welding Code experience is a plus Ability to successfully complete welder qualification testing in multiple positions Experience operating fabrication equipment, including: Press brakes Shears Ironworkers Drill presses/magnetic drills Oxyfuel and plasma cutting equipment Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school education preferred About Advantage Steel Fabrication: Advantage Steel Fabrication specializes in structural steel fabrication and custom steel solutions. WORK SCHEDULE FOR A FITTER / FABRICATOR

The schedule for this position is typically Monday - Friday from 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM . Some flexibility is required. There are opportunities to work extended hours as necessary to meet project needs.

This is a Safety Sensitive Position requiring work on project sites, including federal projects, and in a heavy manufacturing facility with various safety hazards which are potentially life-threatening to the employee. Project sites contain various safety hazards associated with heavy construction. This position may require working at heights, around heavy equipment, around high voltage, and under constantly changing circumstances. This position may also entail project site work at night and on weekends on an as needed basis. This position will be subject to more stringent drug testing and compliance policies associated with our status as a Federal Contractor.
