Job Summary: The events strategist will work with project managers, marketers, and business developers across more than 80 North American offices to strategically coordinate and execute conference and tradeshow activities for maximum value and return on investment. The position allows remote work, but travel will be required to support display booths, client receptions, and presentations at industry events across North America. The events strategist will also have a front-line role on the planning committee for Salas O'Brien's two-day leadership conference held every 18 months. In this role, you will:

• Play a pivotal role in enhancing the Salas O'Brien brand by developing and implementing strategic events initiatives that align with our company's mission and goals.
• Use Client Relationship Management (CRM) software tools to support and track trade show activities and help generate leads.
• Maintain database of company tradeshow and conference activities. Track analytics.
• Work with project managers and marketers to identify and help qualify new tradeshow and conference opportunities.
• Assist project managers and marketers in developing presentations and article topics to land positions on conference programs.
• Develop supporting collateral, including pre-event mailers, social media posts, presentation support, media kiosks, exhibit handouts, post-event communications, and others as needed.
• Work with project managers and marketers to develop and implement client social events tied to tradeshow and conference participation.
• Handle contracting and logistics for tradeshow exhibition, including coordinating all exhibit and materials shipping.
• Work with vendors to develop and produce new tradeshow exhibits as needed, ensuring compliance with Salas O'Brien brand standards.
• Coordinate use of giveaways, identify appropriate items, maintain the electronic catalog of items, and work with vendors for apparel and branded premiums.
• Lead registration and programmatic activities at the Salas O'Brien Leadership and Technical Conference.

You will be a great fit if:

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business, or Marketing
• 2+ years' experience in tradeshow or event coordination
• Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite and graphic design software
• Ability to travel to Salas O'Brien offices or tradeshows as needed, typically <25%.
• Engineering industry marketing support experience
• Experience using Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
