Opportunity Summary The Transportation Supervisor is responsible for daily supervision of all Delivery Associates, ensuring customer orders are delivered properly, work methods are followed, and the workforce remains productive and on time. The role forecasts business volume, manages scheduling, and ensures all delivery targets are met while complying with organizational policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities Resolve employee issues and delivery-related complaints from drivers, coaching for enhanced performance and eliminating poor performance. Ensure compliance with DOT and regulatory rules, including driver qualification files, hours of service, DVIR and IFTA reporting. Direct the planning and assignment of work for efficient use of personnel and fleet equipment, aligning daily trials with the budget and DOT regulations. Coordinate fleet maintenance repairs for timely completion and ensure safe operations within DOT compliance. Assist in managing the company safety program, including driver safety meetings, injury and accident investigations, and enforcement of safety practices. Assist in the completion of comprehensive training (SOP) for all personnel under control. Maintain all daily and weekly reports, including payroll, Syntelic, service reliability, on-time reporting, temperature monitoring, hours of service, and Syntelic load diagramming. Other duties may be assigned. Qualifications CDL Class A License (Required) Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) 3 to 5 years of related experience or training in logistics or distribution Knowledge of DOT rules, FMCSA guidelines, OSHA regulations, customer service, recruiting, interviewing, staffing, technical skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint), engineered labor standards and systems, voice selection technology (Lucas), JD Edwards, managerial and leadership skills, budgeting and cost controls, safety management, process and inventory control, analysis, equipment and facility maintenance.
