Travel Physical Therapist – Newington, Connecticut MedPro Healthcare Allied Staffing is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a travel job in Newington, Connecticut. Position Details Specialty: Physical Therapist Discipline: Therapy Start Date: 05/25/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 40 hours per week, 8 hour shifts Shift: 8 hours per day Employment Type: Travel Responsibilities Assess referred patients requiring rehabilitation services, including direct patient care to determine medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations, and potential for rehabilitation. Develop and administer a treatment program with specific goals based on the patient’s capacity and tolerance, under physician direction. Set realistic and achievable goals, document and record patient condition, and educate patients and families in appropriate physical therapy methods. Develop a plan of care for each patient, provide skilled interventions per physician orders, and evaluate and modify care to meet therapy goals. Collaborate with all disciplines to plan and evaluate team goals for each patient. Requirements Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy or Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy and passed the NPTEx exam. Graduate from an accredited physical therapy school. Minimum one year’s experience. Current state license as a Registered Physical Therapist or proactively in the process of obtaining licensure. Current CPR certification.
