Sourcing Contracts Senior Manager

Vertex Pharmaceuticals seeks a Senior Manager of Contract Management in Boston to oversee the full lifecycle of business agreements across multiple functions. This role involves managing complex contracts, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and driving process improvements in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end contract lifecycle for buy-side agreements from intake through execution and renewal
• Oversee diverse contract portfolio including professional services, consulting, technology, and procurement agreements
• Coordinate contract review and approval processes with Legal, Sourcing, Finance, and other cross-functional teams
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline contracting processes and reduce cycle times
• Supervise a small contractor team and provide guidance to less experienced colleagues on contract best practices

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Law
• 6-7 years of contract management or related experience
• Pharmaceutical industry experience
• Strong third-party risk management and contracting knowledge
• Demonstrated project management and organizational skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

Compensation: $132,000 - $198,000 base
