Program Coordinator – RCV College of Business and Entrepreneurship Posting Number: SRGV8990 Location: Edinburg, Texas FTE: 1 FLSA: Exempt Scope of Job To assist in the operation of a program or multiple projects within the Dean’s Office, exercising independent judgment and authority as required. Responsible for all phases of the program administration, including budget recommendations, personnel coordination, staff supervision, and recommendations for future planning and innovation. Responsibilities Coordinate program implementation and prescribed activities according to specified objectives, including faculty hiring processes, documentation, and verification. Supervise and manage day‑to‑day activities and personnel of the assigned program. Develop and oversee implementation of multiple projects or programs. Participate in budget planning and control expenditures, monitoring staffing costs and related budget activities. Assist in writing and developing proposals for funding grants. Coordinate faculty onboarding processes such as orientation, credential verification, compliance training, and integration into university systems. Coordinate long‑ and short‑term programs, including feasibility studies and cost estimates, and forecast instructional staffing needs. Represent the department in official functions. Review program records and reports, recommend modifications, and reconcile faculty workload data. Draft brochures, letters, agendas, contracts, and employment‑related documentation. Plan, develop, organize, and coordinate research and survey designs. Attend meetings, conferences, and seminars related to the program’s mission and goals. Supervise and organize seminars, conferences, and presentations. Provide required reports, including faculty workload reports, staffing summaries, instructional budget reports, and personnel tracking documentation. Develop and maintain working relationships with internal and external departments, agencies, and organizations. May coordinate and oversee tutorial, counseling, teaching, and/or training activities of the program. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university. Preferred Education: None specified. Licenses/Certifications: None. Required Experience: 3 years performing closely related duties, or 1 year with a Master’s degree, or 5 years with an Associate Degree or 60 hours of college credit, or 7 years with a high school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Experience: None. Working Conditions Work in a normal office, classroom, or outside environment. Some travel and weekend work required. Ability to drive for local or distant travel, handle equipment, lift, and move between buildings. Presence at multiple locations throughout the Rio Grande Valley may be required.
