Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Step-Down Unit – Georgia

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Atlanta, Georgia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Medical Step-Down Unit, 16-20 bed unit with 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio

Highlights:

• Work in a progressive medical step-down environment with diverse and complex patient populations
• Manage patients with conditions including sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergency, respiratory failure, COPD, chronic kidney disease, Type 2 diabetes, substance abuse, status epilepticus, and encephalopathy
• Collaborative team environment with manageable patient ratios supporting quality care delivery
• Opportunity to utilize critical thinking and advanced assessment skills in an intermediate care setting
• Long-term assignment with consistent scheduling in a major metropolitan healthcare facility

Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia or compact state eligibility
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Step-down, progressive care, or telemetry experience strongly preferred
