Registered Nurse Post-Anesthesia Care Unit

Schedule: Variable shifts including 8, 10, and 12 hours Days, Evenings, Nights, Weekends, and Holidays

Assignment Details: Contract Length: 13 Weeks Guaranteed Hours: None

Requirements: 2+ years experience as a critical care RN (i.e., ER & ICU) may substitute for PACU nurse experience Valid BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association A valid professional license within the state of practice Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) credential from the American Heart Association recommended Other specialty-related certifications (i.e. NIHSS & TNCC) preferred

Roles & Responsibilities

Care for patients in the pre-operative, Phase I, and Phase II recovery stages. Assess incision sites, monitor vital signs, and track indicators of stability or complications. Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide quality patient care during the recovery process. Utilize critical thinking skills for effective decision-making in patient care.

Compliance / Notes: Proof of flu vaccination or an approved application for medical or religious exception required before start date. Must arrive the Thursday before start to attend employee health appointment on Friday.
