DMU Designer II

Salary: $95,000 - 135,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a high school diploma or equivalent, along with 3 to 5 years of design experience.
• We require at least 3 years of hands-on experience using CATIA V5.
• We prefer experience with PLM database platforms such as Teamcenter, Agile, or Enovia.
• We value familiarity with aircraft documentation systems and aircraft configuration control processes.

• We develop and maintain digital mock-ups from parts lists and detailed design inputs.
• We verify 3D model data quality, including checks against zero-point definitions and comparisons between bills of materials and 3D assemblies.
• We perform static and dynamic collision analyses using Catia and Teamcenter to support project milestones and engineering change activities.
• We assess and classify collisions based on severity and impact.
• We study installation feasibility, including tool accessibility, assembly sequence, aircraft fit, and maintenance accessibility for defined components.
• We document analysis findings and present them in formats suitable for platform submissions to authorities and OEMs.
• We share key results with the project team and recommend design actions or changes based on our findings.
• We review and approve fully detailed 3D seat models to confirm geometry, equipment, function, and aircraft interface compliance.
• We create simplified 3D models, reduced envelope geometries, and motion volumes for OEM and customer use while protecting intellectual property and meeting file-size requirements.
• We produce part, assembly, and layout drawings, including sections, projections, and other technical views, in line with design specifications.
• We prepare design data and concept models to support prototype production.
