Program Specialist IILocation: Medical Center - Fort WorthDepartment: Psychiatry-Partial Hospital ProgramShift: First Shift (United States of America)Standard Weekly Hours: 8Summary: Schedule: PRN; must be able to work at least 4 shifts per month. Scheduled hours will be between 7:30am-4:00pm CST, Monday-Friday. The PHP is closed weekends and holidays.The Program Specialist II assumes the primary caretaker role for psychiatric patients, ages Pre-K through adolescents which includes activities of daily living, maintaining a safe environment, and the management of harmful behaviors. The Program Specialist II also participates in crisis intervention, teaching, group process and works on call as needed.Education:Bachelor's degree required preferably in psychology, child development, social work or related field. Minimum requirements changed March 2022. Prior employees grandfathered in with at least 2 years of previous inpatient/partial hospital/residential child or adolescent services for each year of college. Experience in inpatient or partial hospital psychiatric treatment preferred.Child growth and development education requiredPediatric experience preferredCertification/Licensure:BLS or must be completed within 60 days of start dateCPI Non-Violent Crisis Intervention - Units 1-7 & 9-10 plus the CPI Childrens Control Position from Unit 8 or must be completed within 60 days of start dateAbout Us: Cook Children's Medical Center is the cornerstone of Cook Children's, and offers advanced technologies, research and treatments, surgery, rehabilitation and ancillary services all designed to meet children's needs.Cook Children's is an EOE/AA, Minority/Female/Disability/Veteran employer.
