Infectious Disease Physician – Independent Practice Track (MedCBO Supported) Job Title: Infectious Disease Physician – Independent Practice Physician (Ownership Model, Not Employed) Job Type: Independent Practice Opportunity About MedCBO MedCBO is a healthcare administrative services organization that supports physicians in operating independent medical practices across multiple U.S. markets. MedCBO provides non‑clinical services such as revenue cycle management, coding, payer contracting, EHR support, telehealth, credentialing, accounting, HR administration, and supply‑chain coordination. Overview We are seeking infectious disease physicians who want to establish or transition to an independently‑operated medical practice supported by MedCBO’s administrative infrastructure. Physicians own and operate their own practice entity while MedCBO provides non‑clinical business and operational support services. This is a non‑employed physician position. Physician Responsibilities Provide care within the physician’s specialty scope. Develop professional relationships within the medical community. MedCBO coordinates payer credentialing with physician participation as required. Determine clinical services offered. Manage clinical quality and patient experience. Administrative Support Provided by MedCBO Practice formation coordination. Billing and collections management. Payer contract negotiation. Financial infrastructure and reporting. Operational workflows and staffing systems. Technology platform and implementation. Requirements MD or DO with an unrestricted license in good standing in the intended state of practice. Board Certified or Board Eligible in a specialty appropriate to the clinical services provided. Eligible for hospital and/or facility privileges where applicable. Ability to obtain professional liability coverage at standard market rates. No current limitations, exclusions, or disciplinary restrictions that would prevent independent practice. Interest in the independent practice model. Preferred Desire for practice ownership. Community‑based care interest. Leadership or program development interest. Location Multiple U.S. markets available (urban, suburban, and rural). Relocation and market selection are physician‑directed, subject to licensure. Compensation Compensation is not a salary and is generated by the physician‑owned practice.
