Vistra is seeking a Strategic Planning and Communication Support Analyst to provide integrated strategic planning and communication support for the Military Reintegration and Transition Portfolio, partnering with clients to prioritize organizational goals and help launch new initiatives. 

By developing prevention resources and drafting concise portfolio updates, this role empowers clients and subject matter experts to focus on high-impact priorities and navigate a phased approach to implementation. Through proactive engagement and effective information sharing, the position bridges strategy and execution, supporting transitioning service members and advancing the Department of War’s mission.

Key responsibilities include:

• Design and manage actionable roadmaps, ensuring program needs are met while facilitating clear, consistent communication across stakeholders and cross-workstream team members 
• Analyze, develop, and execute written/visual communication content related to suicide prevention, intervention, and postvention
• Design creative messaging products and campaigns to promote suicide prevention efforts with regards to military reintegration and increase audience/user adoption of tools/resources

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Health, or related field and 2-3 years of directly related experience
• Demonstrated skills in Strategic Planning, with experience managing roadmaps and exercising prioritization matrices
• Expert in developing communication strategies and materials such as fact sheets, one-pagers, pocketbooks, multi-media content and PowerPoint presentations
• Proven ability to provide program and administrative support, including tracking actions, coordinating requirements, and supporting portfolio execution 
• Experience drafting simple summaries, status updates, and tasker inputs based on guidance from clients
• Strong organizational and knowledge management skills for document organization, research note compilation, and maintenance of reference materials
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to support development of analyses, summaries, and other prevention response materials
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities within an evolving mission environment

Additional Preferred Qualifications include:

• Experience working in a military environment or with military personnel
• Some knowledge or ability to learn quickly about transitioning service members/military reintegration (no prior SME knowledge required)
• Experience in government, public health, or military-adjacent environments is helpful but not required
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism
• Experience in Adobe InDesign or Illustrator
• Experience in a DoW or government agency creating communication materials for military audiences
