As an Automotive Mechanic, you will perform the following duties:Equipment Maintenance: Conduct inspections, service vehicles, and complete repairs across a large variety of automotive and construction equipmentSystem Repairs: Fix issues involving electrical systems, cooling components, suspension, steering, fuel systems, braking mechanisms, and driveline partsSafety Inspections: Carry out official state safety and emissions inspections, complete required documentation, and verify compliance with standardsField Service: Perform roadside or field repairs when necessary and provide support outside the main garage at County StockpilesRecord Keeping: Maintain accurate service records, assist with parts identification, and support environmental requirements and trainingOperational Support: Work independently and with crews, follow all workplace procedures, and help demonstrate repair methods to other employeesWork Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employmentWork hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.Travel, overtime and shift work is required. Work hours are subject to change based on seasonal requirements and operational needs.Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $49,819.00 (before taxes).You will receive further communication regarding this position via email.
