Establishes work priorities in conjunction with assigned coordinator. Receives, reviews and assigns work orders and work assignments. Provides guidance, counsel, and technical assistance as required to assigned personnel. Resolves on-the-job technical problems, demonstrate the ability to lead employees and delegate work assignments.**Experience**Commercial or industrial maintenance experienceSupervisory experience**Certification & Licensures**Must be certified in one of the following areas:Industrial MaintenanceCertified is defined as having obtained certification in the skill through an approved course of study and/or having a State License in the skillDriver's LicenseValid qualified by current VHS vehicle insurance company**Qualifications**Knowledge shall include the general knowledge of the operation and maintenance of systems such as:Commercial HVAC equipment, including building automation and energy management systemsCentral plant operations; i.e. central boilers, central chillers, domestic hot water heating and associated pumping systems, medical gas systems and city water and sanitary sewer systemsHospital support infrastructure; i.e.: pneumatic tube system, nurse call systems, medical gas alarm systems and fire alarm systemsEmergency electrical and power distribution systemsGeneral maintenance and repair as applied to commercial or industrial facilitiesGeneral construction knowledgeReporting to work at various VHS facilities and travel to and from these facilities is a job requirementMust have the ability to work independently, will perform the function of Engineer on Call on a rotating basisMust have good team building and problem solving skillsMust have good communication skillsMust have the ability to interact with the general public, VHS staff and contractorsMust have general computer knowledge, preferably Microsoft OfficeGeneral knowledge of applicable local, state and federal codes, NFPA, JCAHO and OSHA regulations as related to health care and health care related facilities preferred# **Benefits**At Valley Health, we believe everyone is a caregiver, and our goal is to create an environment where our caregivers thrive physically, financially, and emotionally.
