Psychiatric Emergency Clinician Supervisor Job Responsibilities: Provides psychiatric consults to patients who present to the Emergency department onsite at Fairfax ER, via tele psych at other Inova ERs or Urgent Care facilities, or at IPAC walk in clinic. Provides direct/indirect clinical supervision to central access clinicians to enhance their individual clinical skills and the quality of services to patients. Develop goals and managing fiscal activities of the department. Responsible for oversight of daily operations related to clinical evaluations and administrative functions, procedures and protocols. Supervises administrative operations including scheduling/registration, and direct patient care. Works collaboratively with physicians, therapists and other team members of the behavioral health team to effect timely, appropriate patient care management. Collaborates with other department leaders, providers and team members with Inova, and external agencies to help support the care and disposition of patients. Minimum Qualifications: Education: Master's Degree, Ph.D., PsyD, EdD in Mental Health, Social Work, Counseling, Substance Use Disorders or Behavioral Health related field. Experience: 5 years of experience, 3 of which are post licensure, working in the psychiatric or mental health field with the seriously mentally ill Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association. Crisis Prevention Institute Within 6 Months CPI in-person training for non-violent crisis intervention, receive CPI blue card within 6 months of hire. Board Approved Supervisor- Eligible candidate must be registered as a Board-Approved Supervisor in Virginia within (3) months of hire. Note: The Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) credentialed in accepted. Candidates who hold ACS must still complete registration with the Virginia Board of Counseling or the Virginia Board of Social Work within (3) months of hire.
