Job Description Summary GE Vernova is modernizing its forecasting capabilities to improve the accuracy, efficiency, and strategic value of its power system outlooks. This role will lead the transformation of our forecasting models, tools, and analytics workflows. The incumbent will introduce state of the art energy modeling techniques, improved data processing methods, and AI-enabled approaches to augment expert judgment and reduce manual interventions. This leader will work alongside experienced power system and energy forecasting experts, complementing deep domain expertise with advanced modeling, data science, and AI capabilities to build a next generation forecasting capability. Roles and Responsibilities Modernize legacy, spreadsheet-based, forecasting models into modular, scalable, and transparent platforms. Develop automated methods for evaluating, summarizing, and synthesizing third-party reports on global power markets and industry trends affecting generation and capacity additions by technology and fuel. Maintain awareness of and develop tools and methods to evaluate potential market disruptions, emerging opportunities, and structural shifts across the power sector. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, Data Science, or a related field from an accredited university or college. Demonstrated experience applying AI, advanced analytics, data science, or quantitative methods in market analysis, forecasting, or decision support. Experience leading, coordinating, or contributing to complex analytical, technical, or technology-enabled projects. Strong proficiency in modern analytical tools and languages (e.g., Python, R, Julia, or similar). Experience moving analytical workflows beyond Excel into scalable modeling environments. Ability to work effectively with deep domain experts and translate between technical and economic perspectives. Strong communication skills to explain complex models and insights to senior stakeholders. Familiarity with energy policy analysis and regulatory driven forecasting.
