Billing Specialist

Overview We are seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive Billing Specialist to join our team. This role plays a crucial part in managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and collections processes efficiently. We welcome candidates with relevant experience and a strong aptitude for financial analysis, even if they do not possess a college degree or certifications traditionally required for similar roles. Responsibilities Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner. Review invoices, verify billing codes, and ensure compliance with company policies. Assist in reconciling billing discrepancies and resolving issues with vendors and clients. Prepare and analyze financial reports related to billing and collections. Maintain organized records of financial transactions and documentation. Collaborate with team members and other departments to improve billing processes and efficiency. Respond to inquiries from internal stakeholders and external partners regarding billing matters. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in accounting or finance is a plus. Proven experience (5+ years) in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or related financial roles. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial records. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite). Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast‑paced environment. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Preferred Skills Experience in a billing or financial analysis role. Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
