Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An interim leadership opportunity is available for an experienced Director of Pharmacy to oversee operations at a 70-bed long-term acute care (LTAC) hospital. This role offers the chance to ensure high-quality pharmacy services within a specialized healthcare setting.

Location:

• La Mesa, CA

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, daytime hours

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) for the site, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and quality protocols
• Manage and provide oversight to the pharmacy department, including staff supervision and workflow optimization
• Utilize RX Connect system for pharmacy information technology and medication management
• Collaborate closely with clinical teams to support patient care initiatives and medication safety

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid California pharmacist license
• Proven experience serving as Director of Pharmacy within California healthcare facilities
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate pharmacy staff effectively
• Familiarity with long-term acute care hospital pharmacy operations is highly desirable

Additional Details:

• This is a contract assignment with a duration of approximately 13 weeks, with potential to convert to a temp-to-hire position
• The role requires an immediate start
• Travel and housing expenses related to the assignment can be covered or reimbursed at cost
