Location: Modesto
Hours: 8am to 1pm 
Pay Rate: $18.00

Adecco is currently assisting a client in recruiting for a

Temporary Logistics Administrative Assistant position. This role supports daily transportation and logistics operations by coordinating shipment scheduling, managing documentation, communicating with carriers, and ensuring accurate transportation records. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working within multiple transportation and scheduling systems in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with shipment scheduling and appointment management using transportation and customer scheduling platforms.

• Coordinate scheduling activities through systems such as OTM Dock Manager, Ryder Share, E2open, Blue Yonder/Blue Jay, C3/Breakthrough, and other assigned portals.

• Support order entry, shipment planning, and transportation administration activities.

• Monitor and update shipment status information to maintain accurate on-time performance records.

• Conduct carrier check calls and provide shipment tracking updates.

• Ensure shipment documentation, invoices, and bills are uploaded accurately and on time.

• Follow up with carriers to obtain missing Bills of Lading (BOLs), proof of delivery, and other shipment documents.

• Communicate with Customer Service, Transportation Planning, Warehouse, and Settlements teams to resolve scheduling and documentation issues.

• Maintain accurate records and escalate unresolved transportation issues as needed.

• Provide administrative support for daily logistics and transportation operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Previous customer service experience required.

• Logistics, transportation, warehouse, or carrier-facing experience preferred.

• Strong computer skills with the ability to learn and navigate multiple web-based transportation systems.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, formulas, charts, and data analysis.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook.

• Excellent organizational, multitasking, and data entry skills.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Professional written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience with Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) or similar Transportation Management Systems (TMS) is preferred.

Pay Details: $18.00 per hour
