CLASS A LOCAL/REGIONAL

Job Description

We are seeking a Class A driver for our local regional routes, based in West Sacramento, CA. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of commercial driving experience, a clean driving record, and be able to comply with all safety and regulatory requirements. This position involves driving assigned vehicles across the local region with occasional overnight stays, operating as a solo driver.

Responsibilities

Drive assigned routes across the region
Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
Maintain accurate driving logs and required documentation
Effectively manage time to meet delivery schedules
Plan routes efficiently to maximize productivity
Adhere to background check and operational compliance requirements
Communicate clearly and resolve driving-related issues promptly

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years experience in commercial truck driving
Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
Proven experience in commercial vehicle operation
Strong route planning and navigation skills
Ability to conduct vehicle inspections and basic maintenance
Strict adherence to safety compliance standards
Excellent time management abilities
Effective communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience as a solo driver on regional routes
Familiarity with West Coast route logistics and conditions
Willingness to undertake occasional overnight travel
