Accounting Specialist

The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for managing bookkeeping functions, maintaining accurate financial records, processing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling accounts, and supporting the accounting needs of a fast‑paced residential construction company. The ideal candidate has strong bookkeeping experience, is highly proficient in QuickBooks and Google Sheets, and is comfortable working with multiple projects simultaneously. Responsibilities Perform daily bookkeeping and general accounting functions Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks Process accounts payable and accounts receivable Reconcile bank, credit card, and general ledger accounts Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with the month‑end close Track job costs and assist with construction accounting Maintain vendor files, W‑9s, and subcontractor records Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements Prepare spreadsheets and financial analyses using Google Sheets Work closely with management to ensure accurate budgeting and reporting Support year‑end tax preparation and coordinate with the company’s CPA Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned Qualifications 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience (construction or home‑building experience preferred) Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Advanced Google Sheets and spreadsheet skills Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines Strong communication and problem‑solving skills High level of integrity and confidentiality Preferred Qualifications Experience with residential construction or home‑building accounting Job costing experience Experience working with subcontractors and vendor payments Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (plus) Compensation $45,000–$60,000 per year #J-18808-Ljbffr The Barndo Co
