Locum Physician Assistant (PA) - Surgery

Physician Assistant | Surgery - Cardiothoracic Provide cardiothoracic surgical coverage in inpatient, outpatient, and OR settings. Conduct morning rounds, update care plans, perform post-operative tasks, assist in surgeries, and manage outpatient consults using the EPIC EMR system. Handle a case load of approximately 15-20 patients daily, including tasks such as wound care and discharge planning. Respond to call duties, including night and weekend calls, with responsibilities in vein harvesting and first assisting in surgeries. Key Duties Cover inpatient and outpatient care, assist in surgical procedures, document clinical activities, and participate in call rotations. Qualifications & Skills Board certification required; prescriptive authority needed. Experience in cardiothoracic surgery and proficiency with EPIC EMR preferred.
