Field Service Technician (Stockon, CA or Tracy, CA)

Core Values Pragmatic Optimism Excellence Without Ego Job Overview Join our growing Field Service team as a mechanized technician responsible for completing planned and reactive service operations on generators. You will train at our headquarters in Menlo Park, CA, and be assigned to a specific service region, traveling as needed. The role plays a key part in maintaining system uptime, availability, and performance for deployed units. Responsibilities Mechanically repair and maintain generator components and assemblies, following procedures and checklists to meet customer requirements. Collaborate with engineers to diagnose, repair, and redesign components. Conduct mechanical inspections of deployed units and document condition information for debugging and troubleshooting. Be available for rotational on‑call shifts according to the written schedule to support customers. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of mechanical assembly and/or repair experience (automotive, aviation, HVAC, elevators, or other heavy‑equipment assembly is a plus). Proficiency with precision measurement tools (micrometers, bore gauges, gauge blocks, torque wrenches) and documentation of repairs. Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and wear required PPE. Knowledge of basic tool use, including torque wrenches and torque specifications. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions on‑site. Excellent communication skills; familiarity with Google Workspace is a plus. Team‑oriented, self‑motivated, and safety‑oriented mindset. Valid driver’s license required; Class A commercial driver’s license preferred.
